TABLE MOUNTAIN AND CITY TOUR

Cape Town, Table mountain, city centre, Atlantic seaboard, Camps Bay, Signal hill and V&A Waterfront

After being picked up from the hotel, we will head straight to the lower cable car station on Table Mountain. Table Mountain, which is among the 7 new wonders of the world, is part of the Table Mountain National Park and is the main landmark of Cape Town. From its summit, which is located at an altitude of 1086 m, on a clear day, you can see up to a distance of 200 km. During a walk on the flat and spacious summit of Table Mountain, you will have the opportunity to admire beautiful natural scenery, including unparalleled views of both the city and the mountain range stretching all the way to the Cape of Good Hope and most of the Cape Peninsula.

After returning from Table Mountain, a city tour will follow, enchanting you with its atmosphere. We will visit the Company's Garden - the original gardens where vegetables were grown to supply ships that stopped in Cape Town on their way to India, the parliament buildings, and the city hall. We will pass by the oldest structure in South Africa - the Castle of Good Hope, and continue through one of Cape Town's oldest neighborhoods - Bo-Kaap. Its winding streets are lined with brightly colored houses, which are still predominantly inhabited by the local Muslim community. On our way to the Atlantic Ocean, we will visit the Green Point district, dominated by the stadium where the 2010 Soccer World Cup was held.

Next, we will travel along the promenade in the Sea Point district, pass through Bantry Bay, and around the beaches of Clifton, we will head to the renowned tourist resort of Camps Bay. Here, under the majestic peaks of the 12 Apostles, is one of the most popular beaches in Cape Town. Camps Bay is famed for its plethora of restaurants and nightclubs.

From Camps Bay, we will ascend the slopes of Table Mountain to the summit of Signal Hill, which offers beautiful panoramic views. Below the peak of Signal Hill are cannons which, in the past, announced noon to the ships in the harbor with their shot, and this tradition continues to this day.

We will conclude our excursion in the afternoon with a visit to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront complex, comprised of a myriad of restaurants, cafes, and shops. From the original Victorian harbor, founded by Prince Albert in 1860, it has transformed over the past 20 years into the largest tourist hub in Cape Town. Here, one can partake in a harbor cruise, during which visitors often have the opportunity to observe diverse marine life - including dolphins, seals, penguins, and during the months from August to November, even whales. Alternatively, you can visit the Two Oceans Aquarium.
